National Caregivers Day April 2024

April 2nd was National Caregivers Day. Family and friend caregivers provide invaluable care and support to individuals who are frail, chronically ill, or living with a disability. The Family & Friend Caregiver Supports program is one of United Way BC Healthy Aging's provincial community grant programs, with16 agencies delivering supports to caregivers of older adults throughout BC. In Budget 2024, it was announced that Family and Friend Caregiver Support Programs will expand by approximately six to seven program sites per year, starting in 2025/26.
